BIO

Mitchell Wicks played his early football for the Hope Valley Junior Football Club and Prince Alfred College where he was recruited by Norwood.

A reliable and safe kick, "Wicka" was selected as a midfielder or half back.

In 2012 he played 11 games for the Norwood under 18s and had an impressive 2013, finishing runner up in the Reserves best and fairest (18 games).

Wicks made his league debut in Round 1, 2014 and appeared seven times in his first senior season at The Parade. (10 Reserves).

Unfortunately, he was unable to consolidate his spot in the league team, despite showing good form in the "twos".

In 2015, he was again runner-up in the Norwood Reserves best and & fairest award (17 games).

Wicks returned to Prince Alfred Old Collegians in 2016, and continued to be an important contributor to the Reds on-field success.

Off the field, Mitch's family own Wicks Estate Winery.
