BIO

Darren Visser played 17 games (22 goals) for the Norwood under 17 team in 1985. The following year he captained the team to a premiership, was named best and fairest (23 games/22 goals) and represented the State in the Teal Cup.
 
In 1987, Visser played 18 games for the under 19's and kicked 29 goals.
 
Visser was an important member of the 1988 under 19 premiership team. The Redlegs defeated Glenelg in the Grand Final : 19.17 to 10.9 and Visser was named the "best player in the finals." The goal-kicking on-baller made 15 appearances for the under 19's (21 goals), and three for the Reserves.
 
He made his senior debut in round two of the 1989 Foundation Cup series, and played a total of 25 games (27 goals) in his first season of league football.
 
However, in 1990 he was restricted to 13 games in the Reserves and to just three in the League team.
 
In 1991 Visser played another six league games and was named Norwood's best and fairest in the Reserves (nine games).
 
He later captained the Onkaparinga Valley Football Club in the Hills Football League
