BIO

Ignatius "Iggy" Vallejo was recruited by Norwood from the St. Mary's Football Club in the Northern Territory Football League for the 2007 season.

He joined close friend Heath Culpitt with whom he had played with at Carlton in the Victorian Football League (1999-2000).

A defender, with the skills to play on the ball, Vallejo made his league debut against Sturt in round 4, 2007. Norwood defeated Sturt : 11.15 to 4.7.

He played six league games for the season, but spent a lot of the year in the Reserves (15 games).

Vallejo then moved back to Darwin and continued his football in the NTFL.

Whilst Vallejo's time with the Redlegs may have been brief, "Iggy" carved out an amazing career with St. Mary's. He played over 350 games for St. Mary's in the NTFL, won 10 senior premierships with the Saints, and represented the NTFL on several occasions
