BIO

Kenrick Tyrrell grew up playing basketball in Alice Springs and did not begin his football career until he had turned 19.
He joined the West Alice Springs Football Club in the Central Australian Football League where he won a premiership before deciding to move to Adelaide.

Tyrell then came under notice while playing for the strong Goodwood Saints team in the South Australian Amateur Football League.

He was recruited by Norwood in 2007 after winning a Division One flag with the Saints the previous season. He made his League debut in Round 1, 2007 - against the Port Adelaide Magpies at the Parade.

A competitive, mobile ruckman, Tyrrell struggled to play consistently at SANFL level and in 2010 transferred to the Northern Territory Thunder (Queensland Australian Football League / NEAFL). He quickly became a key contributor for his new club, playing in a premiership in 2011.
