Luke Thomas joined Norwood from the Uraidla Districts Football Club. After a solid season for the Norwood Reserves in 2011 (22 games), Thomas progressed to league football in 2012.  

"Thommo" made his senior debut in round six and played 14 league games for the season. An excellent kick with good anticipation, he looked at home in Norwood's defence.

Thomas was somewhat unlucky to be left out of the Redlegs team for the 2012 second semi-final, and did not make it back for the Grand Final.

In 2013 he was severely hampered by a hip injury and only played one Reserve game for the year.

The following season he made five league appearances, and another three in 2015 .

He then went on to have an impressive stint with Barmera-Monash in the Riverland Football League, before returning to Uraidla in the Hills Football League.
