Sandover Medal 2024

Nik Rokahr was born on 16 July 1995 and grew up in Shepparton in northern Victoria where he played with the Shepparton Football Netball Club along with future Norwood team mate Harry Boyd.

Rokahr arrived at The Parade for the start of the 2020 season having played senior football for the Geelong Cats in the Victorian Football League, and won a premiership with Southern Districts in the Northern Territory Football League.

In 2020 he made his league debut for the Redlegs against Glenelg and played all 14 games of the Covid shortened season, taking out the Garry McIntosh Best Team Man award.

In 2021 he played 20 games and won his first Michael Taylor club champion award.

He reached his 50 game milestone in 2022 and played in his first Norwood premiership (21 games). He was also runner up in the club champion award.

Rokahr played 73 league matches for Norwood from 2020 to 2023 before deciding on a move to Swan Districts in the WAFL.

In 2024 he played 21 games for Swan Districts and won the Sandover Medal as the WAFL’s fairest and most brilliant player. Capable of playing as an inside or outside midfielder, he was regularly in the best players.

In 2025, citing work and personal reasons, Rokahr applied for a clearance back to Norwood and an agreement was eventually reached between the two clubs for his return to The Parade.

A stellar season in 2026 saw him win the Magarey Medal, becoming the first player to take out the fairest and most brilliant player award in both the WAFL and SANFL. He had also represented both leagues at a State level.

The 2026 season culminated with Norwood's 32nd premiership and a second Redlegs premiership for Nik Rokahr.
