Dumont made his league debut for the Redlegs in Round 5, 2013 and was also selected for the State in the 2013 Under 18 National Championships

A highly skilled and determined midfielder, he worked hard and read the play well and was an important member of Norwood's 2013 Grand Final premiership team.

He was then selected by North Melbourne with pick 30 in the 2013 AFL national draft and made his debut in 2014.
