BIO
Nathan Batsanis joined Norwood after playing in the Port Melbourne 2011 VFL premiership team.
He had previously been on the Port Adelaide Power AFL list, having been drafted in Round 3 of the 2006 rookie draft.
Hampered by injury, he spent 2007 on the rookie list and only managed a handful of games for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL.
Returning to Victoria without playing an AFL game, he overcame his injury problems and became an important member of the Port Melbourne line-up.
The classy midfielder was approached by Norwood, and joined the club for the 2012 season.
As well as playing in a flag in his only season at the Parade, Batsanis finished fourth in that year's Magarey Medal and also played interstate football.
Citing better job opportunities, Batsanis moved back to Victoria at the end of the year. Despite training with Richmond, and being looked at as a possible mature-aged selection, he was overlooked in the 2013 AFL draft, and continued his career with Port Melbourne.
