From Alice Springs, Dominic Barry was born on 7 March 1994 and played some of his early football in Ballarat with St Patrick's College and the North Ballarat Rebels under 18 team.
He was recruited by Greater Western Sydney, but was then on-traded to the Melbourne Football Club.
He played for the Indigenous All-Stars against Ireland in the 2013 International Rules series.
Barry made his AFL debut for the Demons the following season and played five AFL games for the year.
He missed the 2015 AFL season, and in 2016 played for Glenelg in the SANFL.
Barry was then selected by Port Adelaide Power in the 2017 AFL draft.
In 2018, Barry played five games for Port Power and 11 for the Port Magpies.
A dashing midfielder, he had the ability to break lines, and to be dangerous up forward.
He made his league debut for Norwood in 2019 and represented South Australia against Western Australia in the same season.
Barry was a solid contributor for the Redlegs in his first season at The Parade. (20 games/26 goals). He played 14 games in 2020, and eight in 2021.
