Cameron Ball attended Rostrevor College and played junior football for the school, the Golden Grove FC (North Eastern Metropolitan Junior Football Association) and the Norwood Football Club.
He progressed through the grades at Norwood and in 2017 made five appearances for the Reserves.
The following season, Ball played 14 games for the Reserves and one for the Rostrevor Old Collegians (B Grade, (Adelaide Footy League). A versatile, strong marking left-footer, he was capable of playing forward or back.
Ball made his league debut in round 14, 2019 when the Redlegs easily accounted for South Adelaide : 15.13 to 7.16. He played five league games in his debut season and was an important part of the Reserves premiership win
He continued to impress in 2020, playing 14 senior games and winning the McCallum Rising Star Trophy.
Predominantly selected as a tall defender, Ball played 20 league games in 2021 and in 2022. Over two solid seasons he reached his 50 game milestone in round 14, 2022.
The Redlegs won the 2022 League premiership, defeating North Adelaide in the Grand Final by one point.
In 2024 Ball transferred back to the Rostrevor Old Collegians and played a big part in helping ROCS win the Division 2 flag and gain promotion to Division 1.
In 2025 he joined the Imperial Football Club in the River Murray Football League.
