CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB - HOME OF THE SEAGULLS

MUSEUM TREASURES

INTRODUCTION

The Norwood Football Club’s Museum Treasures website takes you through the history of the Norwood Football Club from 1878 to the present, represented by high quality images of treasured objects from the club’s collection.

Led by History Committee member Rob Crompton and supported by Chair Wynton Heading and archive curator Robert Walsh, each object was carefully selected, retrieved and photographed.  The images were then curated on this website by past player and former club captain, Anthony Harvey.

The vast majority of the images in this virtual museum were taken by Rob Crompton.  Professional photographer Peter Barnes took the pictures of particularly shiny objects.  Images of guernseys worn by Walter Scott, Bill Wedding, John Wynne and Rodney Maynard were photographed for Tim Rath and Andrew Gigacz, who co-authored “The Footy Jumper Book”.

The photography and website development would not have been possible without a grant from the SA History Trust; we are very grateful for their support.  Thanks also to all those mentioned above for their passion, commitment and dedication to this project.
